I think we all dream of being successful. Therefore, we find our minds wandering toward an ideal life that’s infuriatingly out of reach. Remember that success may seem like a material thing, which it is eventually as it manifests, but it all begins with energy. In fact, everything begins with energy. Even you began with just a spark of energy.
Ironically, the energy aspect is usually the part that we completely miss most of the time. Why? Because our materialistic culture doesn’t value or recognize energy as the main force of any and all creation. Consequently, we are told that if we keep working hard that we will attain what we want. That’s possible, but not likely if we haven’t gotten lined up with our desires. This may sound like Law of Attraction and in a way it is, but it’s also some real practical energy advice that could change everything for you in a few minutes per day.
So, give your doubting Thomas a wee little break and let me help you align with some simple universal secrets that might just change your life and your success quotient.
Here’s the first tip for your Success Toolbelt.
Energy Success Tip #1 – Balance your energy field.
Energy field awareness is a huge aspect as to how other beings perceive us. Notice that I said ‘other beings’ because this pertains to all sentient beings in, on or around our sphere. Uncontrolled energy can repel others from us or attract undesirable attention to us. Neither of which is what we want.
An overly expanded energy field
This not only dissipates our energetic field (unless we are well versed in this practice) but it also can repel others because we seem overbearing or overwhelming. Additionally, it frightens or threatens animals as they feel we are trying to overpower them. Wellness-wise, overexpansion can also make us susceptible to taking on the energies of others, which we cannot digest in our energy systems. It is in this energetically-diluted state that we can lose some of our power as we ‘put it out there’ and don’t have the inner wisdom to healthfully retract it when we’re done.
An overly contracted energy field
Conversely, contracted energy may make you feel safe but it can give off the message that we are unavailable, unfriendly and lacking in social energy. We may even seem ‘thin-skinned’ and an easy target for irritating or annoying people. Intentional, temporary contraction can be useful to be ‘invisible’ as in hunting an animal or in avoiding people that we don’t want to talk to. However, consistent contracture of our energy makes our energy field wither and lose its plasticity. Wellness-wise, a continuously contracted energy system is unhealthy for the mind, body and spirit as the energy field becomes congested and cannot breathe or digest the issues and energies we come into contact with. This situation can easily become toxic.
To function optimally within our energy sphere, we need to take the time to balance our energy field and that means paying attention to it. Most of us never take the time to notice where our energy is at on a daily basis because it doesn’t seem important. Much like our hearts, that beat 24/7 day in, day out, we just take it for granted.
A simple five-minute practice every single day can make all the difference in how we metabolize the energies that come into our field and the way we are perceived by other beings in our world.
Here’s how we do it.
- Sit quietly. Be comfortable, preferably sitting up straight with feet flat on the ground.
- Breathe deeply. Feel the breath and feel yourself breathing. Several breaths in and out.
- Close your eyes and sense the energies swirling in and around your body. Keep breathing deeply as this will activate your energies.
- As you sense your energies, send the intention to your energy field to expand out, and just feel that. It may feel odd and scattering. Stay like this for about 10 breaths.
- Then send the intention for your energy field to contract in and just feel that. It may feel tight or even a little suffocating. Again, stay like this for about 10 breaths.
- Now, send the intention to your energy system for the perfect energy balance of your being. Remember to keep breathing evenly…keep the energy flowing. 10 breaths. This is your most balanced state. It may feel weird at first but just do this entire practice daily and it’ll become more natural and comfortable.

If you give off a good vibe, most everyone responds and sends good vibes back.
